I have never considered myself a big fan of purses. I’d rather stuff my pockets than try to mess with a purse swinging around and getting in my way when out and about. But, now that I’m balancing a toddler on my hip, a carseat in one hand, and a diaper bag on my shoulder—my stuff-the-pockets system really isn’t working. This Nisolo purse–the Cleo Convertible Crossbody–is the perfect purse alternative for people like me who don’t like purses.

Questions to Ask Before Purchasing Slow Fashion Items
I’ve been a big fan of Nisolo shoes for years, but I hadn’t tried one of their bags until recently. When choosing pieces to add to my wardrobe—whether shoes, clothes, or accessories, I always ask myself a few questions.
- How versatile is this item? Can it be worn multiple ways in multiple seasons?
- Will this color work with at least half of the items in my wardrobe?
- Is this item high quality, sustainable, and made of natural materials?
- Will I still love this item in 5 years? 10?
Let me tell you—this purse has it all.
How Versatile is this Nisolo Purse?
The Cleo bag is convertible and can be worn at least 6 different ways. My three favorite ways to wear it are crossbody—which makes it easy to access but also secure when my hands are full. I also love to use it as a clutch—on it’s own for date night or tucked in a diaper bag so I’m not digging for my wallet, keys, and phone when we stop somewhere. And my most beneficial way to use it is as a belt bag for when I am out and about with my kids and need a free hand.

Does This Nisolo Purse Match Items I Already Own?
The Cleo comes in four different colors, and I chose Almond because it is really neutral and matches the boots that I already own. If you prefer black or bold accents, I’d recommend the Cleo in Black or Brandy. The bone color is off-white and stands out for a bold look!
Is this Nisolo Purse High Quality, Produced Sustainably, and Made with Natural Materials?
Nisolo goods are not only made of high-quality leather, they are also made both ethically and sustainably. Nisolo is one of the most transparent companies—each product even comes with its own sustainability label—showing how Nisolo is actively working to care for both people—by fairly paying the craftsmen and women who make the items–and the planet–by being climate neutral certified. Will I Love this Nisolo Purse for Years to Come?
As I get older, I am really working on finding my personal style. I want to invest in timeless pieces that fit the stage of life I am in now but will also grow with me as I get older. I’d rather invest in high-quality basics than waste money on fleeting trends. Nisolo products are classic, timeless, and elegant, and if cared for, they truly will last for years. I’d rather have one purse that matches everything and is made to last than ten purses that only match a few outfits or fall apart after a few uses.
