My Search for the Best Postpartum Workout Clothes
At the time that I am writing this, I am about six months postpartum with my third baby. I gained quite a bit more during my pregnancy with him and after delivery, nothing fit. Even my old postpartum clothes felt tight and uncomfortable.
A few months ago, we cleared out our garage and turned it into a home gym. I wanted to find some affordable, high-quality workout clothes to wear when working out. As much as I love feminine dresses and cute outfits, I find that I often reach for comfortable clothing for day-to-day wear due to our active lifestyle homesteading with three young kids.
I had been eyeing Pact’s On The Go-To Sets for a while. I was drawn to their neutral colors, organic fabric, mix-and-match styles, and versatile design. Pact generously offered to send me some pieces to try, and I can honestly say that I wear them so frequently they can’t get washed soon enough!

About Pact
Pact is a sustainable fashion brand committed to making a positive impact on both people and the planet. Known for its ultra-soft basics and everyday essentials, Pact uses organic cotton and ethical manufacturing practices to create clothing that’s better for the environment and safer for the workers who make it.
From comfy loungewear to versatile wardrobe staples, each piece is designed with simplicity, comfort, and conscience in mind. Pact offers clothing for men and women in addition to organic bedding essentials. Whether you’re shopping for yourself or looking to support more eco-friendly brands, Pact makes it easy to dress with purpose.
What I Ordered
I ordered a few On the Go-To pieces in addition to two lightweight sweaters. I got the On the Go-To Legging Set in Midnight Blue and Castor Green leggings. Additionally, I ordered an On the Go-To Pocket Skort Set in Chocolate Heather.
Details
These sets are made from 90% organic cotton and 10% elastane. Organic cotton is a soft, natural fiber that wears well and is not prone to pilling. Elastane gives the fabric some stretch which is perfect for postpartum mamas!
Leggings
The On The Go-To Leggings are available in sizes XXS to 3XL. Currently, they are available in five colors: black, chocolate heather, charcoal heather, castor green, and midnight blue.
These leggings are designed for lounging, travel, exercise, and more. They have some stretch but are structured enough to provide a flattering fit. They are full-length leggings; however, this may differ depending on your height.

Skort
This skort has build-in shorts that have pockets on each side. This is perfect for holding your phone or wallet when out and about. The waistband has an internal drawcord if you want to adjust it. This is another bonus for postpartum mamas who are changing sizes.
This skort has a slim fit and runs true to size. It is designed to hit mid-thigh. Size medium is 15”, but this will change based off of the size you order.

Crop Tank
This cropped tank is perfect for working out or layering under cardigans or sweaters. It is available in sizes XXS-3XL and fits true to size.
The tank does not have padding, but it could be worn as a long-line bra if desired. It has a rounded-square neckline, racerback, and double-layered fabric for extra coverage.
Pact also offers bike shorts, pocket leggings, and cropped bootcut leggings within this collection.

Honest Review of the Best Postpartum Workout Clothes
I reach for these go-to sets multiple times a week. I love the versatility that they can mix and match in addition to the level of comfort they offer.
Colors
I like that Pact offers multiple color options for these sets. The colors mix and match well but still provide some variance. If you prefer lighter and brighter colors, you might be disappointed with the darker hues; however, I found several shades that I liked and enjoy wearing!

Fit
I ordered a size M which was true to size with my measurements at the time. I have lost a little weight since then, so the leggings feel a little loose at the waist, but I appreciate that they include an inner drawcord to help with this.
The shorts and skort are both high waisted which is perfect for postpartum mamas. They help hold loose skin in but are soft and stretchy enough to remain comfortable.
I am nursing and currently have a larger cup size. I find that the top is a little snug at the top and slightly loose at the bottom. So if you have a larger cup size, you may want to size up. I am able to breastfeed easily in this set–another bonus for the postpartum period.
Personally, I don’t feel super comfortable wearing crop tops when out and about, but I do like them for working out or for gardening at home. I may feel differently when I am not so freshly postpartum, but this is something to keep in mind as you are shopping. These sets can easily be layered if you prefer some more coverage.
Material
I used to own a small, handmade sewing business, and I dare say that I am a bit of a fabric snob. I value high quality, natural fibers that are sustainable and hold up to wear. Synthetics often feel soft initially but become scratchy and start to pill after just a few washes.
I love how soft and comfortable these sets are. I have washed them often and they still look brand new! The fabric is thick enough to not be see-through but not too thick that they feel heavy on hot days.
Quality
I am so impressed by the stitching and quality of these garments. They are made very well, which is evident by the quality of their construction.
How I Plan to Wear It
As I mentioned above, I plan to wear these sets for working out in our home gym or when working in our garden. But honestly, these pieces are high-quality and are nice enough for day-to-day wear!

How to Style the Best Postpartum Workout Clothes
These sets are so cute on their own, or you could layer with a cardigan, light sweater, sweatshirt, or tee shirt depending on the look you are going for.
I love to wear mine with my sneakers from Allbirds and this light sweater from Pact on a cooler day.

Pact Clothing Wish List
Sometime, I would love to try some of the pieces from Pact’s Coastal Collection. They have casual wear pieces such as tops, pants, dresses, and skirts in a breezy gauze material.
I have also heard raving reviews about their fit&flare dresses!
I appreciate that Pact offers sustainable basics that can be mixed and matched at an affordable price!
The Best Postpartum Workout Clothes for Busy Moms
In conclusion, if you are looking for high-quality, affordable, sustainable workout sets that work well for the postpartum period and beyond, I highly recommend Pact Clothing’s On The To-Go sets!
